Dream Signs

Dream Signs Example

You can optionally identify potential DreamSigns. Dream signs are categorised in to Characters, Settings, Objects and Miscellaneous. You can identify new dream signs as you type your dream text by surrounding the words that describe the dream sign with square brackets and prefixing with the first letter of the category name followed by a colon. For example, central park is a Setting for your dream so enter [s:central park], a dog is a character so enter [c:dog].

Insert Dream Signs Example

When you save your dream, any new dream signs are extracted from your dream journal entry and stored. You can easily insert previously used dream signs in to your dream text. Simply position your cursor in the dream text where you want to insert the dream sign, and select the appropriate dream sign from the drop down lists.

The number in brackets indicates how many dreams the sign has appeared in. This should allow you to easily spot reoccurring dream signs which you should train yourself to react to with RealityChecking.

Browsing Your Dream Journal

Browse Dream Journal

After logging in you are presented with a list of your dreams. Click the column headings to order by Date (showing most recent first), Lucidity Rating (showing most lucid first) or Experience Rating (showing your best dreams first).

Hover your cursor over the lucidity ratings and experience ratings to be reminded of their meaning.

Click on a dream to view or edit it.

Filtering Dreams

You can filter the dreams shown in your journal in various ways. This is useful when searching for dreams, analysing dream signs or generally researching what is working for you.
Filtering The Dream Journal
  • The Lucidity Rating, Experience Rating and Duration all allow you to enter a comparison operator. This allows you to filter items that are equal to, greater than, or less than the selected value. For example, you could filter all the dreams with a lucidity rating of 3 or higher that have lasted less than 5 minutes and then browse through the entries to examine the exit reasons.
  • Optionally filter by a Date range. You can enter a start date, end date or both. The filtered entries are inclusive of the dates entered.
  • You can choose to only show dreams that contain selected Dream Signs, or that you used selected Techniques with.
  • You can also choose to only show dreams that match a selected Exit Reason.
  • Use the Clear Filter button to reset the filter to default values, which results in all dreams being shown in your journal.
