Could it be dangerous to stay awake through Sleep Paralysis?
No. Many people who do not know about lucid dreaming have experienced sleep paralysis. It can be very scary when you are not aware what is happening. However, this is a necessary stage we all go through every night and is for our own protection. Without it we would act out our dreams in bed. When lucid dreamers practice WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dreams) techniques they make themselves stay lucid through the sleep paralysis stage. There is no reason or evidence to suggest this is dangerous, but be aware the first time you experience it you will be suprised by the sensations. You just need to relax and go with it.

I often don't recall my dreams, could I have a lucid dream and forget it?
Lucid dreams can be extraordinary experiences, but they can still be forgotten as quickly as other dreams. If you have a lucid dream you should try to wake yourself and write about it in your dream journal.
